Class Cancellations
Classes with insufficient enrollment may be canceled and students notified before the first class meeting. Since contacts must be made during the day, please supply your daytime phone number or one where a message may be left for you. In case of inclement weather, if the University is closed, our classes will not be held. Students will not be notified.

CEUs
If you want to provide CEUs for your conference, institute, or workshop, click HERE for more details.
The University of Memphis Professional & Continuing Education department awards the Continuing Education Unit (CEU) for satisfactory completion of some non-credit courses. The CEU is a nationally recognized, uniform unit of measurement awarded at the rate of one CEU for each ten contact hours of participation. Conditions for satisfactory completion: Participants must (1) be properly registered and pay all fees before classes begin; (2) attend 75% of scheduled classes; and (3) achieve a "satisfactory" rating from the instructor. NOTE: Some courses provided by Professional and Continuing Education may not meet the criteria for awarding CEUs. If you want to know whether your course qualifies for CEUs, please call our offices at 901.678.6000. Duplicate CEU certificates are available for a $10 fee. Download the form here. Please allow five business days for a duplicate certificate request to be processed.

Transcripts
Customers may obtain transcripts for some non-credit courses taken and CEU credits earned. Please complete the required form and submit it to our office. There is no charge for transcripts, but we ask that you allow five business days for processing.

Parking at the University
Due to the short-term nature of most classes, garage parking (located on Innovation Drive and on Zach Curlin) is recommended as the most convenient and cost-effective option for our customers. Parking in campus parking lots is allowed with the appropriate parking permit at a cost of $20 per semester. To obtain a decal to park in the campus lots, please contact the U of M Parking Office at 678-2212.

You may obtain an Invited Visitor Pass at the Parking Office for $1. The Invited Visitor Pass is a one-day pass which allows the visitor to park in any General Parking Lot and at any metered space.

Complete information about parking options is available at http://bf.memphis.edu/parking/visitor.php.

TigerPatrol, an escort service provided to students, faculty, staff, and visitors of the University, is available from 6 p.m. until 2 a.m. To request an escort you should call 678-4663 (678-HOME). For more information, please go to http://bf.memphis.edu/police/tigerpatrol.php

Refund Policy
Registration fees are refunded in full when the class for which an enrollment was submitted is full, the class is canceled by the university, or the university rejects the registration form.

If you wish to withdraw your registration, our office must receive in writing your request for refund (minus $10 administrative fee) at least two business days before the first class meeting. After two business days prior to the start of the course, there will be no refunds.

There are no refunds for Defensive Driving, but your registration fee can be applied to a future section if you notify the office at least 48 hours prior to the class for which you registered. A $10 fee is assessed for the first schedule change. Afterward, the course fee must be paid again in full.

Please allow 4-6 weeks for refund processing.

Textbooks
Some books and materials are required in addition to registration fees. These should be available in the UofM Bookstore (http://umemphis.bkstore.com) located in the Rawlins Service Court Building (near the clock tower), or you can order them on the internet through The U of M provider, Barnes & Noble, at http://www.bn.com/.
